TARANAKI RUGBY UNION.

The annual general meetiDg of the Taraaaki Rugby Union was held at. the County Hotel, Stratford, on Wednesday evening. On the motion of Mr. Buchanan, setoaded by Mr. Sput'dl*, the congratulations of the Union were tendered to Mr. R. B Tattoo, _ secretary of th<> Union, on his election to the mayoralty of Stratfoi d.

Gentlemen, —In placing before lyour delegates the annual repoit and balance shotit of the Taranaki Rugby Uiiion, your Committee have much pleasure in tendering th-ir congratulations to r.h Clubs upon the improved financinl posi t.ion of the Union. Tha Cham pionship was won by j the Haweri Club.
