Malcolm Mclntyre, third engineer at at the Longburn Freezing Works, lad his ripht arm smashed to pulp this tnornißg through being drawn into the machinery. The arm was amputated at the hospital shortly after the accident occurred. Dunbdih, April 22. Amy Susan Heather, 21 years of a<»e, committed suieido to-day at Anderson's Bay Bridge. She w«s seen in the water by a butcher and ho tried to aid her, but was unable to swim. He went to get a boat, but oa returning thero was no trace cf her. Sor.e of clothes were foucd and a letter ro her j mother asking to be forgivon. The girl hbd been in bid health and despondent for some timo. The boJy has not yet been recovered.
