These Debentures are secured on the Public Eerenues of the Colony, and are repayable on the Ist April. 1904, at the Treasury, Welling'on, New Zealand, or (if tliH tenderer so requests in his tender") at tho office of the Agent-General for New Zealand in London.

Dividends represented by coupons attached to the debentures, will be payable on the Ist April and the Ist October in each year during the currency of the Loan, at the Cashiers Office, Treasury, Wellington, or at any Iranch of the Bank cf New Zealand in New Zealand, or (if the debentures are i.-sued repayable in London! at the office of the Agent-General for New Zealand in London.

At the option of tha holder of any debenture issued repayable in New Zealand, and on application made in that behalf at the Treasury, Wellington, New Zealand, be may at any time during its currei.cy have it endorsed payable, both as to principal and interest, »t the office of the Agent-General for New Zealand, London, or at any specified branch of tho Bank oE New Zealand in Australia. Provided that in the former case the endorsement shall not be less than three months and in the latter case not less than one month, before the due date of tha next ensuing'payment of interest. The first interest coupon will be payable on the Ist October, 1901, and will be for a sum equal to six mouths' interest on the nominal amount of tha Debenture. The issue price will be at the rate of £IOO in money for every £IOO expressed in debentures (below which no tender will be accepted), payable as follows: — Deposit of 5 per cent, on application. First instalment of 45 percent, on Tuesday, 7th May, 1901, Second instalment of 50 per cent, on Tuesday, 4th June, 1901. Payments may be made in full at any lime on or after the 7th May, 1901, and prior to the 4th June, 1901, at a discount at tho rate of one peund ten shillings per centum per annum. Sealed tenders, addressed to the Secretary to the Treasury, Government Buildings, Wellington, accompanied wi'.h the 5 per cent, deposit, will be received up to Noon of TUESDAY, 23rd April, 1901, when they will be opened in ths tresence of the Colonial Treasurer and the Controller and AuditorGeneral, and allotment will forthwith be made. If cheques are lodged with a tender they must be diawn upon a Bank in Wellington, and be marked by such Bank a<< " good " for fourteen days. Cheques issued by a Bank need not be so marked. Tenders may be for the whole or any part of the Loan, and must state what amount of money will be given for every £IOO ef the Debentures tendered for. Tenders must be for even hundreds of pounds sterling, and at prices which are multiples of sixpence. Tenders at different prices must be' on neparate forms. The nominal amount of Debentures tendered for must be written on the outside of the Tender.

In case of default in the payment c£ any instalment at its proper date, the deposit and instalment (if any) previously paid will be liaule to forfeiture. If no allotment is made the deposit will bo returned. THE Annual Meeting of Householders for the election of School Committees will be held in the several School Districts, at the places stated below, or.MON DAY, /> pril 22nd at the hour of 7 p.m., for the purpose of electing duly nominated persons as Members of School Committees for the ensuing year, as provided by Section 6 of "The School Committee's Election Act, 1891. The number of persons to be elected for each district is as follows : Pukearuhe, Tongaporutu, Mangorel, Hui rangi, Tarata, Huiroa, Ngariki Road, Wnangamamona, Hurford Road, Tataraimaka, Waihi, Ratapiko, Uruti, Tututawa, Tabora, Pungarehu, Matau, and Pohokurn, each five persons. Householders of the various School Disi tricts are hereby requested to send in to the Chairman of the School Committee in their District the names of persons, being Resident Householders, nominated by them to serve on the Committee for the ensuing term.
