Lord Kitchener is developing a big movement with the object of driving the Boers into the inhospitable region north of Piatersburg. In that region supplies will be scarce in the winter. Private H. Robinson, of the New Zsolidd Rough Riders, was severely wounded at Lieuwfontein.
Pietersburg and the railway to the town aro uninjured. The residents have been removed to Pretoria. Three hundred Boers under Commandant Burghers have retired to Waeuertsburg, 32 miles east of Petersburg.
Washington, April 14. The application for an injunction to prevent tho shipment of mules and herses from New Orluans to Capetown was dismissed, the Court holding that tho laivs of neutrality were not beirg infringed. .

Mr. Bennett Burleigh states that Brigadier-General Plumer destroyed - the offices used for the production of postage stamps and blue books, but the
handpress used for printing them was i gone.
Wellington, April 15
The Government has received adv e from Pietersliurg tint Corporal Tayl and Private N. J. Millar (Wellington), of the Sixth Contingent, were several)' wounded on the lOfcb; both doisg well. Privates H. I'opham (Orepuki) anu Beatty (Pukekohe) are serkusly ill with dysentery at Pretoria. Private Moore, of Auaborley, died of dyaettsry at Pretoria on the 12th.
Tho Premier of Victoria wired to Mr. Seddoa on the 10th that "Lieut. Keddcll and Private Smith of your colony arrived this moroitig by tho Ortona, and are leaving for Wellington by the Waihora. Kfddall is wounded in the left arm, but otherwise in good health."
Another message states that FarrierSergeant Wright (Willington) and Private A, 11. Free (Ohristchurch), Sixth Contingent, have been recommended for recognition of distinguished conduct and gallant acts in capturing twelve armed Bnerp.
