MAORI MISSION WORK.
It must have been very encouraging to t.he Maori Misiionern, the Rev. F. W, Bsnnett! and the Rtv. Ka'ere, of Haxvke's Bay, to find Ruch a picked audienco at St. Mary's Ha'l on Friday evening. Tie Kev. F. G. Evans presided, and delivered a short address, after which the report and balancesheet of the fission fund were read by the hem, secretary, Mr. W. H. Skinner. The Rsv. F. W. Young offered up n prayer, which was followed, l*y an excellent address by the K«>v\ F. VV. Bennett, who go,ve a very interesting' account, oj the mission work, and pointed out tho temptations hy which the natives were now Burround'd. After a Maori hymn had been sung by the Rev». Bennett and K&teno with Messrs. Waitai and Brown, tbe Br v. Katene delivered an addrrsj in Maori, which was interpreted by Mr. Benrett, A Rarotonga hyuin wns then sung, and 1 tho piocoeding.--, which had aroused i much interest, wore closed with the i Benediction. ,
