Captain Okey has received a circular from Colonel Newa'l the officer commanding the district, stating that the foilowing men ara required for the Federal contingent from the Wellington district, which includes Taranaki, Wanganui and Hawkes Biy :—8 permanent militia, 4 mounted infantry, 5 naval artillery, 4 infantry, 10 Highlanders, and 10 natives.
