BAZAAR IN AID OF THE CONVENT
On Tuesday evening the Theatre Royal was again wall filled by a gay and lively throng who thoroughly eutere l into the spirit of the Bavar in aid of the Convent funds. As on the opening day a very brisk business was donf by the many willing handi engaged in the good work and their success ir. gathering ia the spare cash of the visi tora must have be'n v*ry grmifyinw. The stalls were each in charge of several ladies. At No. 1, Mesdames Dockrill and McClflland wore assisted by Mic-ees Douglas, J. O'DonDell and Oonnel!. No. 2, was attended to by Mesdnmos Fischer, Hadfield, Darrcck, Misses O'Donnell and Fischer. At No. 3 w-ri-Mesdatneg J. Bonnett, Crazier, W. Bennett, Mi»sos Reynolds, Hart and B j nnett, The Children's Stall (No. 4) was in the hands of Mis H. Gray, Misses R. Bennett, B'easel ard L. Rran. The refreshment still, one of the busiest in the building, wag energetical}' served by M-sdames Ryan, Francis, aad Blessel. and Misses Moore and Byan. Mrs. CJaik was kept busy with a constant succession of applicants de'irouft of having their hands read, and the receipts from tlvt* source Bhouid be cocsiderabl >. There was also an art gallery, the attractions of which mast be seen to bq appreciated. Raffles were constantly going jon undor the supervision oF Daan MeKeena, and everyone peemed hont oa doing their bust to help ia the success of the business, but none more 80 than the energetic secretary, Mr. Dwyor. In order to complete the sale of febp wholo of the articlo?, sent in so as to give a finishing touch to the success of the bazaar, it will be open again tonight, mid there is no doubt that plenty of amusement will be provided.
