At tbe Police Court to-day a man, named Wnlter William Alfred Bates, was commit'ed for trial at the District Court on a charge of indecently assaulting a girl uider five years of age. Thr little girl, who is a mere baby in ap pearancp, was dfeoyed by the accused into the Queen's Park, where thi alleged rffence was committed. The child's screams attracted attention, and F. G.
