With two ranges completed the position of the Companies Teams is:— Timaru Post Guards, 316; Victoria Rifles, 307 ; Kaitangata RifUs, 306 ; Petono Riflo Club, 305; Palmerston Eifhs, 303; Weodvi le Rifle Club, 300; Akarana Rifle Club, 299; Karori Riflo Club, 295; Wanganui Rifles, 294; Canterbury Engineers, 294; Hon. Reserve Corp, Chrietchurch, 286. The District representative Match is in progress, Auckland not competing. The Teams Match will ba fired this afterncon, and just possible the Championship, but the lat'er is doubtful unless the volley firing is sacrificed. District Representative Match, 500 and 600 yard', 7 shets.—Wanganui, TarsniUi, and Napier combined, 1220, X2O. Wellington, 1211; Canterbury, 1195; O'-ago, 1186. The winners take the Exhibition Shield. Pine, Napier, made the possible at each range and takes Hobson's Cup. The same'district walked over for this match at last meeting. Teams Match. - Timaru Port Guards and Victoria Rifles tie at 456. (Prize divided), Petene 454, Palmerston North and Kaitangati 447, Canterbury district won the field firing competition with 47 inta, Auckland and O'ago, combined, being second with 37, Wanganui third with 34, and Wellington last 31. Volley firing completed the day's shooting, Wacginni, Taranaki and Napier districts getting in the greatest number of hits and scoring 420.
