Mr. Takaaki Kate, Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, states that Count Bulow's strange construction of the Anglo-German agreement did not concern Japan. His Government adhered to the plain, unmistakable meaning of the agreement. The Ministers of Great Britain, Germany, France, and Japan at P«kin are making an examination of the resources of China with relation to the payment of ipdemnities. MURDER OF A MISSIONARY. Received 26, 4.1 p.m. London, March 25. Brigands recently murdered Mr. Stocehouso, of the Lotdon Missionary Society, fourteen miles eastwaid of Tientsin. BBB.IOUS AFFRAY AMONGST EUROPEaN TROOPS. A Renter'* m«sage states an affray Occurred among*' the European troops at Tientsin, during which two Welsh Fusiliers and oue of the Victorian Naval Contingent were tabered and bayoneted. Germans were the principal culprits. The Fronoh trcops covertly insult British cfficeis at every opportunity. The civilians and military at Tientein gave the Australian Contingent a grand send-off, General Campbell publicly thanking nnd complimenting them.
