JUBILEE SINGERS.
The final of the Jubilee Singers was given on Thursday evening, tl:e attendance being about the same as on the opeaing night. Again the audience were immensely enthusiastic, almost every item being heart'ly mcored. fn the first part of the programme Mr, MoAdoo scored a splendid fitcceas in his rendering of '• There's Light on the Opposite Shore," a plaintive mnlody which eo affected the audience that one could hear a pin drrp. MB3 Gibbon's sang tha " Holy Oiiy" roagnificiently and with true feeling, the hush being very p-or nounced. The concluding p ; ec3 of the first yart was an old slave fion», given ah it wa? sung by slaves, and never ha-i such a s-riking performance been board in New Plymouth. In the second part the various members of the company again distinguished themselves, as on the previous oveniags, Mr. Collins Fco-ing a great success in his interpretation of the "Da»th of Nelson," The who's entertainment was of a high order, and fittingly brought to a cloai a very successful season,
