Napier, Mar.h 19. At tha meoting of the Hawke's Bay ducation Board to-day Iho Selection tommittne submitted a sclwma for the istribution of the extra g ran t for Mcher»' salaries. They proposed that 2 teachers' salaries between £IOO and J2QO be increased by 4 per cent., and 9 teachers' ealaries up to £IOO be acreased by 10 per cent,; and that 54 eccnd, third, acd fourth year pupil eachers' taliries be increhsed bj' 7* p,-r eat;. The recommendations were apiroved and ordered to he forwarded to he Department. Wellington, March 20.
