The Band Contest was returned this morning. Theie were seven csmpetitors for the E Flat Bas-es, which was won by T. Gray ( Wanganui), 82 points; F. Singal (Wanganui). 76, being second; and S. Geary (Peton*), 70, third. For the B Flat Basses there im three competitors, and the result ww: 0. Aldridge (Masterton), 64, 1; E. Holben (Falmorston), 61, 2 ; S. Geary (Petone), 55,3. NKW PLYMOUTH BAND THIRD. WANQA»ui, March 14. At the Band Association Meeting to-day it was decided to held the next contest in New Plymouth. The recu't of the Band Contest tort piece was: —Wanganui, 1; Wosdville, 2nd; New Plymouth, 4 points behind, 3rd.
