The ktest news about the light railway is that the Go eminent have not yet made up their minds as to whether it is to be a narrow guage or the seme guage as ordinary lines. We would, of caurse, prefer to see the line built cf the wider guage, but not if this Beans flint the building of the line is to b» delayed. The new Want School was opened, with beccming cwemony, on Monday last. It is a Urge W«ny building, and will remove the conf «■*><» hitherto existing in the school, lv ssems almost a pity that the new school was built over part of the playground, instead w being erected on a sepatate sit*.
