SvDNur, March 3. , Owing to certain suspic'ous ciraum • stances coming co tho knowledge of the j city coroner, the bo<?y of P. Conway, of! Dunedin, a passenger whe died aboard thu Talune on Febrrary 19' hj, was gxhunud from the Rooktvood cometery f tstorday. An inquest was opened ;uid adjourned to Friday. It will bo remembered when the r.-maius were landed at Sydn»y the Coroner dispensed with an inquest, the cause of death being given as a fit, to which the deceased wss alleged to bo subject. The authorities are very reticent, the Coroner intimating that it was not in the interests of justice to publish the ovidence. At present 'lnpolice refuse to give any infornutiot.. but enquiries in other directions indicate tne police I are acting upon rumours amongst other passengers that the circumstsnee surrounding Conway's death was not altogether coasifiU'ut with natural cause?. A statement was also made that Conway was supposed to have certain valuables in his possesion, but a search j in his luggage failed to discover them.
