CONFERANCE OF DELEGATES. A conference of poultry societies in the Nor'h Island was held at New Plymouth on Thursday evening, wMi a view to tha formation of a New Zealand or North Isl.ar.d Association, or a northern nssocia'.ion—to include Marlborough, Nelson, and the west coast of the South Islam!. The following delegates were present: —F. Goodacre (New Plymouth), J. P. Thomson (A>ckland and suburban), W. McEwen (Master ton), A. Handy (Thame), L. J. Carmine (Wellington). Wellington further moved, and New Plymouth seconded, "That the firs'; duties of tho Association bb to make overtures to the Siuth Island Association with a view to having Marlborough, Nelson, Buller, and Westlaiid societies included in the North Island Association." This was carried unanimouly. On the motion of Auckland, seconded i by Wellington, the head-quarters fqr ' the current term were fixed for New ' Plymouth. Mr. F.
