WORLD'S RECORD FOR 300 YARDS. (PUB PHBSS ASSOCIATION. (Received 23, 8.45 p.m.) Sydney, February 23. R. Cavill won the 300 yds. Swimming Championship of N.S.W. in 3min. 40 4-ssec!3., which is the world's record. It was a magnificent race, the winner boating Craig by a couple of feet. The previous record made by Fred. Lane was 3min. 4(j 3-ssecs.
