FIRES.
PBB PBBSS ASSOCIATION. Napier, February 21. | The Patangata Hotel and store, about ten miles from Waipawa, were burned down at 3 o'clock this morning. There is nothing to chow the origion of the fi-e which Btirted iu the store and the proprietor, J. A. Young, was away at I tbe time. His wife and two other inmates had bareiy time to escape in thoir night clothes. Very little was stved. The hotel is owned by 1?. W. Rjbjobns of Nayier. The tat»l insurance on the building and stock £1465.
