Tho City Council to-nigh*-, with only threj dissentient 3, resolved that steps be taken to abolish the Ward system in connection with tho municipality. The City Counoil has resolved to ask ra'epayers for authority to borrow £50,000 for the parpase of o reiting a Town Hall iu accordance with J. Ohirlesworbh's design.
