PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wanganui, February 13. At the Waverley Court yesterday James Burns was committed for trial for the attempted murder of T. R. Hickson, acleik in the Patea branch of the Bank of New South Wales, on the sth inst-., as he was re'urning to Pate* with a bag containing .£3lB in cash and £241 in chrques. Eighteen months ago accustd worked at Waverley ai a rouseabout, and at t'r.at time the Bank was broken int®, £56 beiDg B'olen. On the 6th last a futile attempt was made to break into the Bank at the same place. j
