The s.s. Coxinna is expected here on Thursday from the Sontb, with a large ueneral cargo. Th° Mapourika arrives at the Breakwater ■ >n Monday, and takes away a large quantity ef butter. Anyone wishing to go to Wellington to sea the Imperial contingent can leave here ti-day by the Takapuna, and return by the Mapourika on Monday. The s. s Janet Niccoll arrived at the Breakwater at 4 o'clock from the sontb, with a quantity t f general cargo and prcdnce. Bhe left '.he same evening for Greymouth direct. As an instance of smart handling of vessels at the Breakwater, we may mention that some 230 tone of cargo and produce was landed f, on; :he Janet Nicoll en Thursday evening, and the vessel, which arrived at i o'clock, got away again at 7, four gangs were woikiutr.
The Ur.ion boats to and from Melbourne are callirg at- Milford Sound this month.
Mr. Mills, the General Manager of the Union Company, is away on a trip Home, accompanied by his wife. It is stated that we are going to have some record trips between Onehanga and Kew Plymouth. Both the Takapuna and the Ngapuhi intend to lower the present record if possible.
