Rkijskuino to the £IOO granted by the Government towards metalling the Koru-Plymouth roads, which tho Oakura Road Board wanted to expend at the lower instead of the upper end of the present metal, the following letter has bean received by Mr E. 0. Meredith from the Under-Secretary of Lands:— Wellington, 23rd January, 1901. Sir. —In further rfply to your letter of the3rd ult,, I have to say that on the 16th ins'act an authority was issued to the Oakura Road Bsard to expend £IOO voted for the T\oru--Plymouth Road, and the plans and specifications are subject to the approval of the Chitf Surveyor, New Plymouth.
