(FHOM OUR OWM COBHESPOKDBItT.) Os Thursday eveniag the 31st ult., w» had a public meeting in Messrs. Wylli» and Stott's auction room, kindly lenfc for the occasion, re the Waitara Horticultural Society, whieh his lately been formed. Captain Dugdale wai wte« to the ohair, and tbe following ladw« and gentlemen voted to form the Committee. Mesdames Bleakley, OhapElliot, Townsend, Joaet, PaW, and Ulander, Missoe Boothrayd, and Jones. The gentlemen were Messrs. B. A. Hignett, Dugdale, Jonee, Nswbeiy aod Tate. It was decided U hold the first Show on March 21st, in Bb. John's Hall, Waitara, when we. hope to have a very successful affair, all exhibits being admitted free. ThU Society which has been talked of fct so many years, has bcosme a f set at last, and from the energy, the Committee has already shown, and the interest token by those outside th« town, we have succeeded in enrolling a j goodly number of members. I think we must have been shamed into getj ting up this show, as Ur*nui hae bad '. two successful ones already, though a much smaller place than this.
