A DEPLORABLE CASE.
(PER Pit was association. Dunedin, February 1. EUoq Sutherland, a five months old infant, was received in tho hospital with lmr motlv r. Both wt re in a deplorable condition w hen received. The mother said ehe had b?en living in a house at Pine Hill, and had no friends. The child was given out to nuts-', but died during the night. A vei diet of death from bronchitis was returned. The ptd'ce are making enquiry as to the whereabouts of the child's father.
