[*Klt PBIS3 ASSOOIATIO ■'.] (Keoeived 22, 9.5 a in.) Sydney, January 22. A cyclonic storm, with terrific rain passed over the city last nighc, Twi aud n halt' iaches of rain fell within half an hour. Last night's storm did thousands of pounds worth of damage by Hooding 1 shops and cellars. The water wag three feet deep in King-street and inundated busintss plaaes. A rubbish box was carried by thaforce of the water through a large plate glass window. A fire destroyed a number of business places at Grafton. Morehead & (Jo. were insured in the New Zealand Office for £4BOO, and Harman:s shop and stock for £BSO in the National.
