Wellington, January 22. The Anniversary R-.gatta of the Port Nicholson Yacht Ol'ub was held to-day ia favourable woathor. There was a north-wo-at wind, which varied slightly in power, but was never more than mediratnly strong. Much infcorer.vt was taken in the meeting of the A'icldi.nd yaeht Riinbow and the Wellington yacht WaiKflgi. They wore the only two that competed in the race for fir.st-clasg yachts. Tee Rrinhow sxilel a course of tweaty-seven knots in 16min. 21s3cs, leas time than fie Wuitaiis.'i, including her time allowance of 9min. 50secs. The Rainbow won by 26tmn. 1 Isecs, first race for second-claso yachts was won by the and the second race by the Muhina. In the first; race for halfratoi s the Ruru was the winner, and the Maroro won the second race, Tb,e large entry of secpnd-clasg yachts was a feature of the regatta.
