■ o ■ ■■- [PER press association.] Wellington, January 22. Tho anniversary of tho Wellington provinca is being colebrated to-day' by fine obsarvance of a general holiday. The pnnoip d event in the Port Nicholson Yacht Club's Regatta, in which interest centres in tha race between tho Rainbow (of Auckland) and the Waitacgi (of Wellington). On the first round of the course the Riinbow was 6 minutes ahead of the Waitangi, and unless a mishap occurs she mnsc| win rasily. The Atlanta won the s:cond-c!a°a race; tho Siren boin« second.
