With reference to tho latter matter, Mr. Ward promised to obtain a report from Dr. Mason on the subjeot, The question of the proposed Post Office sifca in Mt. E'iot retarre was teuohed upon, Apart from the question of price, Mr. Ward does not seem to favour the Egmont-stre et site, but is far more inclined towards utilising the land now vacant iu Brougham-street belonging to the Harbour Board and tho Borough Council, where Mr. Rose suggested a good three-storey brick building could be «r«cted suitable all requirement?.
