AGGRAVATED ASSAULT.

On Saturday afternoon a cabman named Howard drove several men to an hotel, and a dispute arose aboat the payment of the fare. Howard wti assaulted, receiving aerieus injuries to his head. A man named Jas. Ga&evar was brought before thedourt to-day on a charge of causing the injuries, bat was remanded, as Howard wis onaMe te appear. The condition of the injtred man ia so serious that his depositions have been taken.
