As there seems to be a good deal c misapprehension as to the effect of th legislation of .'ast session regarding th question of reading land, the attentio of persons cutting up land into section for sale or lease J3 directed to Sectic 20 of the Public Works Amendmen Aet, of 1900, which is now law an provides: vendor shall provide a public road o* 6treet frontage to each section not less . than 66 feet wide. (2; If iu a County : or Road District such road or street, if not within three miles of a Borough , boundai/, shall be formed and con- J neeted with an easting read to the , satisfaction of the local authority. (3) , If in a Borough or Town District or : within three miles of a Borough, the ' owner shall form and metal the road or street so dedicate 1, and construct such drains and footpaths as may be 1 agreed upon between the owner (or j vendor) and the local authority. (4) . The RegMtrar of Deeds shall refuse ( to register any transfer until he is i satisfied that the foregoing provisions j cave been complied with. Section 15 , of this Act also provides that where i trees or hedges overshadow a road or i street so as to be detrimental to the , maintenance of such road or street the j local authority may order the occupier or owner to remove, lower, or trim such ■ trees or hedges.
