The Faking correspondent of The Tkua reperta that the Ministers representing the Powers have finally agreed npon the following basis for a treaty of peace:—China most erect a monument over the site ef the murder of Baron Ketteler, and send a prince of the Imperial family toGermany toapotogise ■ for the murder; must execute eleven ' •f those whe were guilty of instigating ' outrages, each to be either a high official ■ or a prince; suspend for five years pro- ' vincial examinations in centres where outrages octurred; remove all officials ■ ' who did net make due efforts to < prevent outrages on foreigners; compensate all State corporations and < civilians, including natives employed ' by foreigners, for injury; substitute < an office of Foreign Affairs in place of the Tsung-li-Tamen; permit Ministers of the Powers rational intercourse with the Emperor; raze Tabu and all forts ' cat the coast; the importation of arms ' and war material into China is for- ' bidden; permanent foreign guards for ' the Legations and foreign guards of communication between Peking and ! the sea coast must be maintained; and ' Imperial proclamations ordering the suppression of Boxera must be posted f throughout the Empire for Wo years.
