A Republican negro deputy was killed in the struggle, while three negro deputies and two policemen were wounded. The negroes at Delaware, finding the whites were given precedence, destroyed the polling booths and contents. A Democrat was severely stabbed at Philadelphia. The negroes in the same district prevented voting, iMbsd revolvers, and wounded a pugilist, jrbo was acting as election judge, with thebutja end of a pistol. On Monday : night, at Caseyville, Indiana, 200 shots wen exchanged, with, the result that one negro was killed, and one American and seven Austrians and Italians were wounded.
