When relieved by the Ngapuhi, the Gairloch will proceed to Auckland to undergo a general overhaul. Seme changes are about to be made in the parsers of the Union Company's coastal •teamen. Mr. O'Callaghan, assistant on the Konowai, is to join the Janet fucoll as purser; Mr. Williams, at present assistant on the Flora, will be promoted to the Kotoiti, and Mr. Wilson, of that steamer, tiansfers to tin Tarawera, vice Mr. Mcßurney, who will latum to the Rotomahana on the steamer being reoommissioned. M daily service (Sundays excepted) between Wellington and Lyttelton will be inaugurated at the end of the present week, lor that purpose the Tarawera, due at Wellington to-day (Friday) will not leave for lyttelton again until 11 p.m. on Saturday, aid the Botomahana will reseme her running from Lyttelton on Saturday night. There•after the Tarawera will leave Wellington on Tneedays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and the Botomahana on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
