MR. G. H. MILLS RECIVES A PORTFOLIO.

I (FBB PRE3S ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, October 25. At a meeting of the Cabinet lait night it was resolved to offer Mr. C. H. Mills a position in the Ministry. Mr. Mills will be sworn in on Monday next, and take up his residence in Wellington permanently.

It is understood that Mr. 0. H. Mills, member for Wairau, and senior Government Whip, will take the portfolio of Justice and possibly also that of Labour.
