SOCIAL AT ST. ANDREW'S.
One of the most successful socials in' connection with St. Andrew's Kirk was held on Friday evening, when a large gathering of members and friends met in the hall. The social was in aid of the Sabbath School picnic funds. Tho Committee—Mesdames White, O'Doile, Misses Flight, Drake, Cottier, Strauchon, Haywood, MacDiarmid, and Irvin, with Mr. 0. S. McDiarmid, are to be congratulated on the way in which they worked to make the social a success. The accompaniments were played by Mesdames Copland and MacDiarmid, Miss Drew and Mr. Ruseo. The following programme was gone through:-Pianoforte solo, "Fastasia American Airs," Miss Irvin; song, "In the Mellow Autumn Tide," Miss Drake; song, "Till Death I Love Thee," Mr. Rudd; song (encored), "The Old Countrie," Miss Hay wood; reading, " Fiom Three Men in a Boat," Mr. N. K. MacDiarmid; song (encored), "The Deathless Army," Mr. Bauchope; song (encored)," But One," Mr. Millar; violin solo, Mr. A. L. Cooke; song, " Because I Love You," Miss McGunnihy; song," Hosanna in Excelsis," Mr. Bauchope; song, "Astihore," Mr. Lowe; violin solo, Mr. A. L. Cooke.
