Offing to winning the Guineas Kinglike came to 6 to 1 on the course, and was quoted this evening at sto 1. Sagacity was at 8 t« 1, while 12 to I were laid against Oornquisb and Inglestone. Severity is quoted at 10 to 1 for the Melbourne Cup, D.J.C. SI'RING MEETING, SECOND DAY. Dunkmh, October 13. Beautiful weather was experienced for the second day's racing of the D.J.O. Spring Meating, the course being in good order. The attendance was scarcely up to that of the first day, but this to some extent was due to unsatisfactory train arrangements, only one train, a slow one, leaving to«ra after 12.30. Speculation was fairly brisk, .£4730 10s being put through the totalisator, making £9503 10s for the meeting, as compared with £4372 10s last year. The racing was interesting. Results: —• Second Hurdles, GOsovs; 1 j milej, Mr. Wise's Ilex, 12.10 (Robertson) 1 Mr. Smith's St. Hiko, 9.5 (Cotton) 2 Mr. Livingstone's Dundee, 10.13 (Higgins) Pipi and Southerly Buster also ran.
