Lord Roberts has granted the Boers , an armistice of five days. It is ex--1 peoted that Commandant Erasmus will i surrender. Mr. Sohalkburger is acting-President 1 of the Transvaal Boers. i Commandant Yiljoen and the bulk , of the Boers are concentrated on the bush veldt, east of Pietersburg, in an unhealthy situation. It is believed these Boers are likely to surrender. Commandant Da Wet is reported to be south-west of Kopjes station, and to have 900 men and three guns with him. Lord Roberts announces that the City Imperial Volunteers will arrive in London on November sth, but ho fears he himself will not return so soon. BOER OFFICIALS DEPART WITH GOLD. MRS. KRUGER'S HEALTH. The Chairman of the Bank of Africa states that owing to the stoppage of the Transvaal gold mines the world's supply of gold was diminished by sixteen millions sterling during the past year. Mra.
