TARANAKI EDUCATION BOARD.
Thb Education Board met on Wednesday. Present: Mr, McAllum (chairman), Misf Heywood, Messrs. Adlam, Wade, Allsworth, Mackay, Faull, Kennedy, and Hignett. Authority Was given for the chimney at Kaimate School to be raised two feet. The Mlhoe Committee wrote again urging the erection of a teacherjs residence. The Cpmmittee are to be referred to the previous reply of the | Board. in closing their school on account of an outbreak of scarlet fever, was con- i firmed. The Department suggested that Labour Day should be observed as a holiday, but the Board did not conour.
