Buoklahd and Sons' Report ; Horses. —At the Hay market, we bad a good average entry of all classes, keen competition for medium draughts, especially mares, and all of this class sold readily; heavy draughts sold up to L 37; medium and active young horses, LIS to L 22; aged draught geldings and mares, Ll7 to L2l; trap and light spring cart sorts, L 9 to Ll2; light hacks and gig ponies, L 5 .to L 8; weight carriers and harness horses, L2l. Hay and Straw.—About the average quantity passed through, prices were, howHay sold at Is 6d to 2s 9d per cwt.; straw, 1 heavy loads, 15s to LI Is; light, 9s to 12s, Grain, etc.—Wholesale lines qf maize, ' over 25 sacks, ex wharf, 2s 3d to 2s 4d; ex store, 2s 7d to 2s 8d; pats, inferior, 2s Id at , auction ; feed, 2s Bd; seed, Tartarian, 2d 6d; ■ barley, Is lUd; prime chaff, easier, L2 15s ,to L 3; ex rail, L 3 to L3los; ex store pressed hay, L2 JOs to L 3 10s; straw, L2los p?r ton, Hides, Skins, Tallow, etc.—Similar prices to last week, cow hides slightly better. At Keiueia, on Thursday, dairy cows ?t pr-'iiti brought from L-l to L 6 2s 6d each, ana cattle sold freely at late values. Wellgrown steers bringing from Li 10s to L 5 8s; dry cows, L2 10j to L 3 10s. Fat cattle, in j average numbers and quality, scarcely kept last week's quotatinDs,' fcteers brought from ' 19a to LI 9s per 1001b.; cows, 16s to 18a.
