STABBING CASE.
RIVAL COUNSEL FOR ACCUSED. [PER PRHSS ASSOCIATION.] Ohristchobch, Septsmbqr 21, At the Magistrate's Court to-day, Henry Cunningham was again remanded for a week on the charge of stabbing T. Archey at liurnham on August 30, Archey still hping unable to appear. Dr. Symes gave evidence to tho effect that the wound was still open, and the patient got very little sleep. A curious complication arose over the question of counsel. Mr, Donnelly has been acting on accused's behalf so far, and appeared again this morning. Mr. Jovnt, however, : also appoared for the acQused, haying been retained by the Minister of indication, Mr. Donnelly objected, as lie appeared with Cunningham's consent. Mr. Joynt argued that the Minister was in the position of guardian to the boy, 'J he Bench snjd that Mr, Joynt had satisfactorily explained his appearance, acd tho question was left over till the case came up again.
