WELLINGTON MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.

Wellington, September 13, At the municipal elections to-day, Councillors liarber and Tolhurst were I'o-olected for the To Aro and Thorndon wards respectively, both hiving a substantial majority. The contest tor the Cook ward excited keen interest. There were six candidates for the seat The Rev. W. A. Evans headed the poll by a majority of about 250 over Mr, Oarmiehaol, the well-known Wilder who came second on the list. The i three successful candidates are pledged to a progressive policy, and are strong advocates of municipalization of tlio public services.
