The plaintiffs Scase, which was finished to-day, is that certain articles in the paper alleged that Emily Pilch er, a daughter of plaintiffs, was the woman found. That she was enciente to her father, and that he murdered her to hide the affair. The defence is a denial that any such meaning can be attacbod to the article, and that the comments were justified by facts brought under the] notice of the editor and were in the public interest. Malice is not alleged, counsel for the plaintiff expressly stating that no personal feeling was imputed to Knowles, the proprietor of the Ttkgraph.
