THE INDIAN FAMINE FUND.

At a meeting of the Indian Famine Fund Committee, the Mayor of Ohriet* church stated that it was intended to close the fund, The piople had done fairly well considering the numbir of claims on their money, and the tart that the Government bad ami five ! thousand of the amount raised home, |it had quite retched that which had been anticipated, The bilanofrsheet showed that there bad been reoeired to date £2293, of which £I9OO bad been remitted to India. The bank balanoe was £363, and sundry expense* amounted to £25, and there would be om £3OO still to be remitted to India, it was desided to close the general fund, remit the balanoe to India, and hand over any future subscriptions to the religious bodies.
