Itcccivod 6,10 a.m. London, September 5, It is persistently reported that Commandant Da la Hey has succumbed to wounds received at Elands River, It is officially announced that the indemnity paid for the seizure of the steamers Bundesrath, Hurzon, and General totalled £25,000, and for the Wagna £4,427. The Natal delegates hove arrived ia England. They claim that Durban or Maritzburg should bo the seat of the South African Confederate Parliament, Wellington, September 6. The Secretary of the General Post Office has received from Capetown a reply to representations which were made in regard to the non-receipt by members of the New Zealand Contingents of their correspondence. The officer commanding the Army Postoffice Corps in South Africa says he is, afraid the difficulties are not realised,' but he promises that New Zealand bags will be forwarded unopened to the head-quarters of the various contingents,
