* LAKE TCHAD COUNTRY A DESERT. [ PEE PBESS ASSOCIATION. Received 4,0.20 a m. Pahis, September 3. M. Fourean, the French explorer, who last year led an expedition Algeria to Lake Tchad, has arrived at Marseilles, and reports that the country in the immediate vicinity of Lake Tchad is a desert.
