In tbe Assembly, an amendment to the Arbitration Bill, that the President of tbe Court should hold office j under the same conditions as a Judge, j was rejected. t Received 31, 2.58 p.m. ( Sydney, August 31. , The Assembly sat the greater part of the forenoon, when the Arbitration Bill was put through Committee. An amendment Was carried reducting the payment of members of the Court from five' guineas to a pound a diy, Provision was made, under a penalty of £SOO agaiust the disclosure of any evidence relating to profits or financial position of auy witness or party to a dispute, and for the hearing, if requested, of such evidence in camera.
