ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Particulars of the fatal trap accident at Masterton show that tha horses shied while crossing a stream and went over a bank twelve foet into three foot of water. The occupants wore pinned down by the vehicle, and it wits fortunate that help was at hand. As it was the boy was killed and a baby had its skull ftaclured and recovery is considered hopelcs?. Mrs. MucGregor's right arm was brokeu above the wiis". and hor back injured. Mr. MacGregor was bruised and cut. Later, Tho infant child of Duncan McGregor has died from tho effects of tho injuries received in yesterday's buggy accident at Masterton. Mr, McGregor's other child was killed outright at the time of the accident. Maxoaweka,. August 31. Yesterday afternoon a boy named Steve Hall, eight year;; i f age, fell over a cliff to the banks of the iUngitikr.i River, a distance of .100 foet. He U unconscious and is not expected to recover. He was playing with some other children and tripped while trying to roll a log over. A later message states tho boy is dead.
