( FEB PRESS ABSOCIATIOKJ Wellington, August 29. An (Auckland telegram sent last weak stating that the cheques stolen from Itessrs Mackey, Logan, Bteen, and -vo.'» Post Oflicce box, some amounting to a thousand pounds had been cached was erroneous, inasmuch as none of the cheques were cashed. Moreover in some papers the amount appears as thousands of pounds, while ' %ue total amount of all the cheques was under the £IOOO. None have yet been negotiated.
