[PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Palmebston North, August 22. A shocking death occurred at Palmerston last evening. A man named Fwnk Lucinsky, a resident of Cheltenham, near Feilding, was killed by one of the incoming trains. The body was discovered on the line this morning. It was horribly mutilated. The deceased was an elderly man. He leaves a wife and family. SUDDEN DEATH AT A SOCIAL. Napieb, August 22. The Roman Catholic social at the Gaie'y Theatre was brought to a sudden close this evening by a most unfortunate incident. Mrs. Turley, a middle-aged woman from Greymouth, who was on a visit to a married daughter, Mrs Mcßryde, was present and suddenly dropped down dead.
