A petition wan adopted for presentation w Parliament, and it was decided to circulate copies of it throughout the Middle district for signature. Mr, 4ogj, M.H.R., stated that the nwfc» ing of members of Parliament for tfat , Middle district, held recently, was at* t (ended by six from each Cnamber - while it was known that several more were in favour of the movement. The meeting unanimously adopted the fallowing resolution:—That members of the Legislature present, representing (be Middle District, consider the Government should without delay net tpart a site for Victoria College University, and affirm the opinion that tat most eligjble nte is Mount Cook.
